Coming Soon:  Pike Street Maker's Mart

We are seeking to expand our art shows, sales  and art business classes into another additional space while simultaneously re-creating our successful pop-up shop called the Pike Street Maker's Mart once we secure needed funding to improve our targeted spaceWe are looking at a building in Covington Kentucky near Braxton's Brewery.  While we are hoping to be self-sufficient we are looking at raising approximately $9000 in start-up capital to help with needed improvements, start-up costs; marketing costs, and operations costs. We do not want to take out a loan or incur any debt if possible.

Who Are We:

The Independent Northern Kentucky Artists and Artisans Program, Inc. ("INKAA" or  "INKAA Education Program 501c-3") is in part:
•
An art business incubator that actively helps (for free) creatives navigate the "business side" of the art world
•          An art gallery focused on local artists and artisans from the Greater Cincinnati and northern Kentucky areas
•          A local artisan retail shop with one-of-a-kind creations from local artists, artisans and craftsmen
•          An arts education organization that engages and educates established, emerging, and aspiring artists with needs-based education initiatives
•          And a volunteer run artists collaborative and art activist community operated by local artists, artisans and small creative businesses as  collaborative partners

Our Story:INKAA Education Program is unique the not-for-profit arts education organization behind the creation of the former Art House in Fort Thomas. After incoprating in August 2014  INKAA opened the Art House in November 2014.  The Art House, a 100 years old three story building, housed over  72 independent artists and artisans, over 20 small artisan created businesses, and 5 organizations and partners that shared the Art House space for events, classes, and meetings. However, in May 2016 INKAA closed the Art House in Fort Thomas to developed a strategic partnership with independent artists and co-owner of  Inspirado at the Madison Gallery in Covington (www.inspiradocov.com).

Inspirado @The Madison Gallery is a gallery with a fine dining restaurant.  Inspirado serves artfully delicious, eclectic global cuisine made by co-owner and artisan chef Baron Shirley. Inspirado is partly owned by Kentucky artist and UC biology professor Dr. Chris Green (a.k.a "Ego"). Chris' focus is on the gallery portion of the restaurant (e.g., the Madison Gallery).

As the Executive Director of INKAA, Kentucky artist and college professor Dr. Parrish G. Monk and Dr. Chris Green of the Madison Gallery have decided to join forces to continue to help empower local artists and artisans and provide an accessible, inclusive and unique art experience for local creatives, art collectors, small business owners, creative entrepreneurs,  and the local community in which we live and serve. Therefore, the art gallery is now referred to as the "Madison Gallery powered by INKAA"; an important distinction when branding this unique partnership. The Madison Gallery enjoys the benefits of being under INKAA's not-for-profit organizational status.

*We are still seeking to renovate portions of our new upstairs space above the restaurant/gallery and hope to be done by September 2017. We are building free studio spaces for working artists, another gallery for collaborative members, and a state-of-the-art classroom and art resources center where we can continue to help out with the "business-side" of the art world and provide excellent services to underserved populations.
