WHAT DO WE NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL?

INKAA was designed to be self-sufficient and self-sustaining once we are fully operational. In order to be successful we need the following resources from donors and sponsors:


CAPITAL EXPENSES
Capital Expenses- money spent by a business or organization on acquiring, maintaining or improving  fixed assets, such as land, buildings, and equipment.


  • Sprinkler system, 2" x 4" framing wood, ply wood, drywall, toilet, nails/screws, and renovation costs to completely renovated the existing raw space into a functional and safe classroom, gallery, meeting room, event center, and working studio space.  Estimated $25,600  to $33,000  supplies and labor. *See the pictures below.
  • Two window mounted air-conditioning units for third floor studio space which is currently not insulated nor does it have any air conditioning system. est. $240 used
  • Handrail for ease of access and safety to be installed leading up to the third floor art and studio space.  est. $120 used
  • Ceiling mounted projector and projection screen for the classroom to be used for classes, seminars, and various presentations. est.  $1,230 or installed presentation system (Wall mountable TV, wireless streamer, connection cables, et cetera) for class presentations, art business seminars, art instruction videos $950
  • Indoor track lighting . est. $340

STRATEGIC OPERATING EXPENSES


​Strategic operating expenses are related to expenses that will help the Art House and its affiliates grow and develop.


  • Stipend for Co-Op Intern from NKU or other colleges in  IT/Web development/Educational Technology  $800 per semester 2017. We could use an intern to document, record and prepare all of our inventory for e-commerce on 47 available online sales points including Etsy, Fine Art America, Saatchi Online et cetera.
  •  Stipend for Co-Op Intern from NKU in  Art/ Curator/ Resident Artist  $800 per semester 2017-2016. We could use an intern to help research and document upcoming opportunities for the artists and to maintain an active database of available resources like grants. show dates, Call to Artists et cetera. , record and




PROGRAM NEEDS

  • Working capital to apply for external art shows, juried arts events, and wholesale market opportunities across the United States. budgeted around $4,000
  • Year long subscriptions to various art industry magazines and budget for art related books for our exiting library. Artists can benefit from keeping up with the current industry as well as gaining new knowledge.  est.  $360
  • 10 to 20 feet of Professional Grid walls and hooks to create and maintain a professional presence during external art shows. Artists and artisans will be able to borrow these for various juried art shows and art events. estimated $320
  • Professional 10 x 10 white top Display Tent, two light weight  6 foot tables, professional table cloths, and display stands for external art shows and conventions. Our artists and artisans can borrow these if needed. $440
  • HD video camera for video and photography related projects
  • Laptop and 1 Tb external hard drive for use in external meetings with clients; photo/video editing; and to reduce the space on the POS taken up by our existing desktop.
  • Laser printer to produce high volumes of black ink prints and to reduce cost of printing and buying printer cartridges for our existing color printer.
  • Working capital for art equipment, art supplies, crafting supplies and related equipment $2,400 ( cap at $200 per month).  
  • Ceramic Kiln (large) and 4 potter's wheels, pottery supplies appx. $4,100
  •  Professional table top displays and easels to use in-house and during external shows. $250
